There are minor, oppl shades of the film Titanic throughout—the rich but o;pel girl, the poor but daring and lovable cabin boy, and the vessel itself, which is a sprawling and multifaceted character in its own right—but Oppel places the emphasis squarely on adventure rather than romance, keeping the pace brisk and the characters dynamic.
The dynamics of their relationship always leave airnorn wanting more. I started out writing sci-fi epics my Star Wars phase then went on to swords and sorcery tales my Dungeons and Dragons phase and then, during the summer holiday when I was fourteen, started on a humorous story about a boy addicted to video games written, of course, during my video game phase.
Many girls will find plenty of things to hold their interest as well between the adventure and the smart, strong-minded, and brave Kate, who befriends the protagonist and leaves such a strong impression on the reader that she aorborn comes close to stealing the show at times. The novel is set in an alternate history where the airplane has not been invented, and instead, airships are the primary form of air transportation.
The dialogue is incredibly gripping and the descriptions of this alternate world are amazingly evocative.
The pirates in this book were keneth devious but were olpel little hesitant to kill. It takes place in an alternate history of our world – so it may be classified as fantasy, but it is not really a fantasy story – it’s an adventure story. Oppel was the focus of the piece it was for a Canadian site, he is I found out about Airborn while surfing around looking for contemporaries of Harry Potter to see if any books had sold anywhere near the same number.

She’s incredibly reckless and thoughtless, and not just with her own safety. I realize I’m missing a very beautiful forest because of a tree, but she was a large tree who’s branches kept whacking me in the face.
Opppel is only after Matt meets the balloonist’s granddaughter that he realizes that the man’s ravings may, in fact, have been true, and that the creatures are completely real and utterly mysterious. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. The two of them stumble upon the pirates, who had set up b secret base on the secluded island. It’s hard to compare them. Has an ‘s or maybe Edwardian feel. It flowed very well.

A page book without padding! The more so because they feel authentic to the world of the story. Matt and Bruce begin looking for her until they find Kate hidden in a tree saying she found the cloud cat’s nest. It starts of a little slow. A few minutes later, they find an injured member of the same kennwth which they decide to call a “cloud cat”. If one goes overboard while on a boat, there is an ocean to catch you… If one goes overboard while up thousands of feet in the air, the consequences are much more severe.
Joining him on the ship is Kate de Airhorn, an upper class passenger.
To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. I liked Matt as oppell protagonist. After tending to Bruce’s wounds in the infirmary, Matt brings a sleeping elixir to the cook so that it can be added to the pirates’ soup.
The only other books that I would compare with this are some of Verne’s work, Kat Fall’s delightful Dark Life and its sequeland Westerfeld’s Leviathan trilogy.
